Hello and welcome to Melissa’s Ultimate Fitness!

MelissaThis blog started as a record and a discussion of my personal training regimen from November 2010 until the end of the 2011 club season in October.

In 2010 started the business Ultimate Results in order to provide players with research based information about training and practicing for ultimate.  The intention of this blog is to show I apply the principles I write about on the Ultimate Results website.  While Ultimate Results includes a lot of information about motor skills learning, this blog will focus on fitness.

As a high level player and NCSA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, my mission is to improve the sport of ultimate by giving players the tools they need to train like the serious athletes they are.  In addition to writing The Ultimate Athlete Handbook and starting The Ultimate Athlete Project, I give ultimate fitness clinics nationally and internationally.  My next stop is Colombia where I’ll be hanging out in Bogota with members of the 2012 Worlds team.
